The Foundation seeks to leverage the collective expertise of the global open-source community to develop AI testing tools that promote responsible AI adoption. It advocates for best practices and industry standards to ensure transparency, fairness, and reliability in AI systems.

As a not-for-profit organization, the Foundation operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA).

​In 2024, the AAP has signed an MOU with AI Verify Foundation and was recognized as the Philippines chapter of AI Verify Singapore, the 1st among the ASEAN countries. Both organizations have since expanded its reach to promote AI safety and transparency to not just Singaporean institutions but in Philippines as well.
